The latest of Professor Baines‘ Gresham lecture will take place on Tuesday, February 25 and will be available to watch online afterwards.
As part of the Prehistory of IT series, Data: a love story for the ages considers how it has enabled the creation and reinforcement of collective memory, and how it has been documented in innumerable formats, from maps to databases, taxonomies and infographics.
Now, people make sense of the world through the technology they use to process and visualise data. This lecture explores the enduring love for it.
