Last autumn, the WCIT Charity made a small grant to Superhighways, a project run by Kingston Voluntary Action. The project supports small charities and community organisations in London to use technology, data and digital tools in order to help more people, find funding and reach more supporters.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Superhighways held a day of digital and data workshop, and the WCIT Charity’s grant of £500 enabled them to offer seven fully-funded bursary tickets to low-income organisations.

Among the workshops were managing digital change, developing a data strategy, achieving more with digital fundraising, cyber security top tips and designing inclusive online services. The afternoon was dedicated to AI, with a panel discussion from leading professionals, followed by further workshops including using AI for fundraising, marketing and chatbots.

As one attendee commented: “I am so grateful for the opportunity to have attended the conference, and a special thanks to the WCIT Charity for the bursary ticket. I left the day feeling so motivated and inspired.”
