Students using computers at Hammersmith Academy

We are delighted to announce our final grantees for 2025…

FLISS is an organisation which aims to increase the number of women in STEM who can access high quality, free mentoring: they were awarded £5,500 to develop a new mentorship platform to expand their reach. The disabled-led theatre company Vital Xposure was granted £3,908 to create an accessible website for inclusive theatre-making resources. Day One received £5,000 to support school leavers at Hammersmith Academy who are interested in a career in tech to be ‘apprenticeship ready’. Saltmine Trust has been granted £5,000 to stage an online safety production for primary school pupils, followed by workshops to discuss the topic in greater depth. And Refugee Action Kingston will implement ‘train the trainer’ teaching in conjunction with Code Your Future, to create a team of digital buddies who can go on to support other refugees and asylum seekers.

Speaking about the grants, the WCIT Charity’s outgoing Chair, Dr Stefan Fafinski DL, said: “I am delighted with this latest selection of projects, which closely align with our key priority areas of education, inclusion and tech for charities. I am particularly excited about the work of Day One, which will deliver a holistic programme of workshops, industry insights and one to one support to students at the school we co-founded with The Mercers’ Company.”
