The Pan-Livery Initiative was established in 2017 to get a better understanding of the nature and scale of Livery giving and to develop a shared philanthropic endeavour. It has just published the results of its third survey, based on a period heavily impacted by the Covid pandemic. Despite those challenging times, aggregate giving by Livery Companies rose to £75m. The report also identified the amount of pro bono work which takes place, amounting to a massive 143,500 hours a year. This includes the professional pro bono support provided by WCIT members, as well as volunteer roles such as as charity trustees and school governors.
